Mary Breakstone, Founder and CEO
mary@ourlivingtree.com
With over 30 years experience in Information Technology,
Mary has been everything from programmer to system and database
architect to Director of Information Systems.
Mary has held executive positions at major banks, corporations
and consulting companies. She is adept at using structured
design methodologies across diverse industries - financial
services, manufacturing, call center and recruiting to hone
in on the essence of the business and develop practical and
enhanced solutions to improve the way things are done.
Mary starts just about everything she does with a 'mind map'.
In fact, her 'brain child' - the Interactive Family Tree CD
- evolved from mind maps. Her first model was developed as
a 'labor of love' for her 10 siblings and 40+ nieces and nephews
and dedicated to her parents. And that led to starting her
own company, Our Living Tree.
She is a creative thinker, good listener, has a strong sense
of intuition and a passion for using graphic oriented visual
thinking tools to develop ideas.
Mary has two married children and lives with her husband
and business partner, Bob, in Manhattan, NY.
